Testing for COVID- Questions
Who should get tested and when?
- Anyone with symptoms consistent with COVID should get tested as soon as possible
- Anyone with a known COVID exposure (close contact for more than 15 minutes with someone known to have COVID) should get tested 5-7 days after last exposure (3-5 days if fully vaccinated)
Where to get a COVID PCR test:
- Seattle Children's Hospital
- The most efficient and quickest way to request an order is to message us through our patient portal.
- Please include the following information:
- Symptoms and when they started
- Any known COVID exposure
- Please indicate that you want testing through Seattle Children's Hospital
- Our nurses will inform you when the order has been sent and will provide a number for you to schedule
- Results will be sent to your patient portal account
